Juan Carlos Vasquez Lima Juan Carlos Vazquez Lima was born in 1988 in Havana, Cuba into a family of artists. He is a graduate of the Eduardo Garcia Delgado School of Art Instructors in Havana, with a concentration in Fine Art. He has had a number of exhibitions including an international show at Galeria Cubana in Boston and group exhibitions in New York City and Nashville.
Vazquez Lima’s drawings stand out for his clever depictions of figurative characters and animals, mechanically jointed with spindly arms and legs. He attributes his inspiration to the comical & whimsical relationships between and antics of his neighbors in Central Havana.
